I shared about my mission in my stories the other day, and I meant it. That’s not to say that I don’t have fear about fulfilling it. I do.

I fear certain situations will slow me down and disrupt my plans, and that scares me to my core. Situations like my relationship and what will happen if we don’t grow together, aging and the fact that I’m navigating menopause right now + feeling limited with my investments. Not just in my business, but in myself… my health, personal growth and relationship.

But what scares me more is not fulfilling my mission and letting these circumstances take me out. That’s simply not an option.

I’ve got this, because I know firsthand, I’ve the power to change my story and create my reality. My FOCUS. is. everything. I am willing to challenge the odds I feel are against me and give my energy to what will turn them all in my favor.

I recently joined Mission to Millions led by @melanieannlayer @alphafemme with amazing women from all around the world… And in the lead up to our mission 0.03 pre work, which just so happened to be all about defying the odds, Melanie’s personal FB gets disabled, silencing her voice, OUR voices.. Facebook (anything) only has power over us when we can’t stand in our leadership. We always find a way.

These are the moments when we show up, stand by our conviction and lead ourselves and community against all odds.

which will drive your actions forward (or not), so if you have a vision or goal in your business,

if the actions you are taking are not aligned with this goal, and therefore, not getting you the results you want, check your focus.

Some things to look out for…

𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤… What are you saying to yourself? What questions are you asking yourself?

Ask a negative question, get a negative answer, ask a positive question, get a positive answer. It’s simple, yet takes effort to shift…

Ex. The science shows that depending on your language and focus, your brain will respond to actualize the answer/experience.

And the universe collaborates accordingly.

𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲… This is the fastest way to shift your focus… How are you holding yourself physically? How’s your posture? How much are you moving your body?

Rather than commiserating on a daily walk with a friend why all the things in your life and biz aren’t working out.

Try incorporating a daily walk and speak aloud great questions and incantations about what you desire to create.

Being homeless and growing up poor wired in patterns that have played out for years like a broken record, I. get. it. I’m still unraveling.

In 2021, I made the decision to teach, coach and mentor women in breaking cycles to living free and fulfilled in their businesses and lives.

And the big elephant in the room that we need to talk more about is MONEY.

Firstly, there is NO SHAME in wanting or making a lot of MONEY.

The trouble is the power you’ve given money and outside opinions.

Prosperity isn’t just about money. It’s a state of being more powerful than anything outside of you.

It’s not the money you want, it’s the feelings you will get from the things and experiences you want that 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 cost money.

Maybe you’re already making the money you want, but you’re still not getting the feeling you’d hoped you get?

Maybe you don’t have the money you want, and you think when you do, you’ll be happier and the feelings you’ve been reaching for will finally be here.

Maybe you’re in a feast and famine cycle, and you’ve given your power to money, letting it dictate your mood, depending on whether you have an abundance of it, or a lack of it…

It’s time to take back your power and reclaim your true prosperity.

And the reason most people avoid risk is to avoid failure, yet anyone who has ever succeeded, has failed… many times.

There’s a difference between playing it safe and feeling safe.

While you can’t avoid fear, you can embrace courage.

This will help you build the muscles to take more risk, stretching your nervous system to new norms.

When your courage is bigger than your fears, you become an unstoppable force.

The reason you are playing it safe is your nervous system doesn’t feel safe to stretch.

This can be tied to trauma, past experiences that did not work out well for you or the limiting beliefs others projected onto you.

You can heal, and there are ways to support and condition your nervous system for expansion.

I failed many times before I hit six figures in my first business. What I learned was that I had to get my mindset, i.e. beliefs, my body and my biz skills aligned.

This took healing trauma, nervous system support, focus, making different choices, commitment and unwavering faith and belief in myself.

Once I was able to strike an alignment, everything changed, and my success was freedom and fulfillment.

I bought back my time, monetized and leveraged my passions and the impact I was making in the world.

I did it once. I’m doing it again.

𝐏𝐎𝐕: You set out on a journey to work less and make more, ended up creating a 6-figure, 4-hour work week business, making an impact, and you’re doing it again in your new business, while helping other women pave their own path to success.

In retrospect, knowing what I know now, I built that business from Soul but also from a trauma response and a dysregulated nervous system.

A pushing, pulling and proving that I could defy the odds and break glass ceilings, and I did.

The thing is… I could have saved years of struggle, stress, worry, anxiety and burnout had I known I had protective parts running the show constantly ready for the worst case scenario.

I could have had years of deep fulfillment on my journey rather than it feeling like an uphill battle.

But, I have no regrets.. Only love for those parts of me having my back, trying to protect me from it all crashing down.

I am grateful for the business I have now and everything that has transpired that brought me to this moment, knowing my worth and value is not about proving anything.

I trust myself, and I’ve got me!

I can embrace my deep desire to serve AND feel wildly nourished financially at the same time without guilt for wanting more and worrying I’ll lose it all, because I’ve already lost it all.

I can embrace that my life is a masterpiece in the making and that my desire to design a life of meaningful prosperity and abundance is here for me now and a journey worth a thousand miles.

Even though I spent years in survival mode building that business, I’ve impacted thousands of children’s lives, and for that I am honored.

There are many ways to build success.

I’m here now for meaningful success…. wild success… nourishing success.. juicy success… healthy success… sexy success, more presence… freedom.

I’m here for the women who want the same. 🌹

This can result in believing you have to keep going, going, going to feel worthy to achieve success but instead it keeps you in a perpetuating cycle of "it's never enough" that's exhausting and disappointing.

You know you are shifting this when you find yourself giving meaning to what is working well, rather than what's not working well.

You are compassionate with yourself when things get challenging, and you give yourself space when you need to rest.

You know hustle culture is a choice, and you're not subscribing. You know meaningful success is not absent of self love.

✨ 𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎 ✨

I woke up this morning at the beach house where I spent summer days and nights as a child.

Memories came crashing in like salty waves on the sandy ocean floor.

I didn’t have a say back then, but it didn’t matter. I was with him. The man who had my heart.

I had visions of us on the beach, playing in the ocean and building sandcastles together.

We drove for hours, and I savored every moment. Wide-eyed and dreamy.

He pulled up to my cousin’s beach house.

He said, “go inside. I’ll be back in a bit.”

I had never been there before.

She was styled in designer clothing and had a warmth and glow that put my mind at ease.

She waived me in, and I spent that weekend observing family I didn’t know too well, vying for the feeling that I was safe to settle in.

As warm and inviting as she was, I struggled to get there, and at times, I felt out of place.

Where was he? When will he be back?

He was completely and utterly emotionally and physically unavailable.

Mostly, he was gone at the casinos.

I was fending for myself in house full of strangers I called cousins.

I wanted what they had…

The closeness… the ease… the comfort… the joy… the laughter.. the freedom from worry and anxiety,

but it felt out of reach and he couldn’t give it to me.

Because he gave it all to the casinos. every. single. time.

I had to wait until one day I figured out that my value and worth had nothing to do with money.

I learned it from him.

I learned it from her too.

I had to wait until one day I could unravel all the patterns and beliefs that told me I wasn’t good enough, I wasn’t smart enough, people like me don’t get to have that and all of the other projections that I absorbed.
